How DogTag collects, uses and protects your information, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are

DogTag Dog Daycare and Boarding, 7440 Marshall Road, Superior, Colorado 80027. You can reach us at frontdesk@dogtagco.com or on (720) 317-8414. This policy covers dogtagco.com. It does not cover our booking system, which is run by MoeGo and has its own policy.

What we collect

When you fill in a form. Our contact form asks for your name and email address, and optionally your phone number and your dog’s name, along with your message. Our guide and newsletter forms ask only for an email address. Every form carries a tick box asking whether we may email you back, and we act on what you tick.

When you book. Bookings are taken through MoeGo, not through this site. Anything you enter there is held by MoeGo on our behalf and is covered by their policy as well as this one.

Automatically, as you browse. Standard web server records including your IP address, browser and the pages you visit. We use Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager to understand which pages are useful, and a call-tracking service called Pie, which shows different phone numbers to different visitors so we can tell which marketing brought you to us. If you call one of those numbers we record that the call happened, along with the number shown and the page you were on. We do not record the call itself.

Why we use it

• To answer your enquiry and arrange an assessment, daycare, boarding or puppy classes.
• To send the guide you asked for, and our newsletter if you asked for that.
• To keep the site working, secure and reasonably fast.
• To understand which pages and which marketing actually bring people to us.

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Who else handles it

We use a small number of companies to run the business. Each one handles only what it needs to, and only on our instructions.

• Mailchimp sends our emails and holds the address list.
• MoeGo runs bookings, assessments and membership payments.
• SiteGround hosts the website.
• Google provides Analytics, Tag Manager, the map on our contact page, and the fonts the site uses.
• Pie provides the call tracking described above.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a site stores in your browser. Ours fall into two groups: the ones WordPress needs for the site to function, and the ones Google Analytics uses to count visits. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking them will not stop you using the site, though some things may behave oddly.

How long we keep it

Form enquiries are kept while we are dealing with them and for a reasonable period afterwards, in case you come back to us. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe, which you can do from the bottom of any email we send. Analytics records follow Google’s own retention settings. Booking and payment records are kept as long as we are required to keep them.

What you can ask us to do

Write to frontdesk@dogtagco.com and we will action any of the following. We do not charge for it, and we do not require a reason.

• Tell you what information we hold about you.
• Give you a copy of it.
• Correct anything that is wrong.
• Delete it, where we are not required to keep it.
• Stop emailing you, which you can also do yourself from any email.

If you are unhappy with how we handle a request, tell us and we will look at it again. Colorado residents may also contact the Colorado Attorney General’s office.

Children

This site is meant for adults arranging care for their dog. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.

Keeping it safe

The site runs over an encrypted connection, and access to the systems above is limited to the people who need it. No website can promise perfect security, but we take it seriously and we will tell you promptly if something goes wrong that affects you.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged to anyone on our mailing list.
