Boutique dog care, run by people who've been doing this with heart since 2007.
About DogTag — dog daycare & boarding in Superior, CODogTag began in a Superior horse barn in 2007, founded by Donelle Slater, a professional animal trainer whose love for dogs outgrew the space she had. The home next door became the first facility: two acres, hand-built kennels, and a standard of care that earned a devoted local community without a single advert.
“What he experienced wasn’t a transaction. It was being looked after — his dog, his family, his peace of mind.”
DogTag is now owned by Chris Nunes, a Superior resident who first came to us as a client. After the Marshall Fire, when life was at its most uncertain, he boarded his Rhodesian Ridgeback Oso with the team. That experience is why he bought the business.
His plan is deliberately modest about size. Not one bigger DogTag, but more of them, each built the way the first one was.

A Superior local who came to DogTag as a client, then bought the business he'd come to trust.
